Who We Are
Our Mission
Nayaraq is using the power of storytelling to create a movement towards gender equality. Our “train the trainer” workshops create sustainable change by “passing the mic”— empowering local leaders to bridge communication gaps between local women and NGOs. By encouraging perspectives of women & girls and creating space for those in power to listen, we help existing initiatives become more responsive to community needs, improving outcomes for both communities and those who support them.

Theory of Change
Nayaraq deploys the transformative power of storytelling workshops to amplify existing community-based initiatives focused on Sustainable Development Goal #5: Gender Equality.
We partner with organizations who are working to build a world where every individual can dream freely without gendered barriers – both girls and boys, women and men. Nayaraq leverages empathetic train the trainer storytelling workshops to empower communities and increase the efficacy of NGO programming.
Our workshops focus on creating space for empathetic listening and encouraging traditionally quieted voices to the share wisdom they have gained through lived experiences which can fundamentally change how NGOs interact with communities, and how communities internalize NGO programming.
We work with organizations to make their missions more effective – and we believe that empowering their communities to fully embrace their agency is a fundamental first step to do just that.
