Xander Samaras

Xander Samaras is an award-winning environmental communicator, producer and editor whose worked on a range of film, television and VR/360 content for networks and organizations including National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel, Showtime, HBO, the United Nations, Save the Elephants and the Wildlife Conservation Society. Passionate about environmental conservation and democratization of storytelling, Xander brings a filmmaker’s and producer’s perspective to Nayaraq, where he hopes to broaden developing communities’ access to both the production and consumption of stories that impact their everyday lives. Through his work, Xander hopes to inspire a new generation of storytellers, with an emphasis on underrepresented, diverse, young voices.
