Annie Kuster

Annie Kuster is a storyteller, defender of women’s rights, and social science researcher with years of experience working with women and girls in Latin America. In collaboration with local and national organizations, Annie has listened to stories of hardship and strength of teenage mothers in Cusco, Peru; domestic violence survivors in Oaxaca, Mexico; and female migrant farm workers in the U.S. She currently works to improve sexual & reproductive healthcare access for communities across the developing world, a role which has only served to emphasize for her the importance of reciprocity and humility in development work. She holds a Master’s degree in International Development & Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and Bachelor’s degrees in International Economics and Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame. You can often find Annie hiking somewhere (journal in hand), reading and writing creative nonfiction, or running through the streets of Washington, D.C.
